  • Concept of Artwork

Prophecy is often related to zodiac or weton in Javanese tradition. The influence of horoscopes or zodiac signs is not only limited to beliefs, but also includes aspects of self-confidence and the formation of one's identity. In art, this identity is often an integral part of the idealism of creating works of art, becoming a style or a character in each produced work. From an aesthetic point of view, prophecy has a strong role in realizing its influence on the future, often associated with the avant-garde direction. This is an indication that such works of art have highly appreciated and competent value. However, prophecy in the context of art is often considered naive. Purely and naturally, art is a symbol of various things. Prophecy in art is largely an issue of culture and belief, reflecting the extent to which an artist can capture moments that become symbolic and recognized by society or art audiences at that time or in the future.

In the end, works of art can symbolically be considered as predictions about the past which are predicted to become legends in the future, or vice versa. These two concepts cannot be separated and are part of the universal experience that all creatures will face in this world.
