My name is Sarah Shafiyya Assalimah, I am 7 years old at the moment and going to school in Kuttab Daarussalaam, Bantul. Since two years ago, I've engaged in drawing as a hobby to freely express everything in my surroundings. I am so happy because this exhibition is my first chance to show my work!

I love the things around me, such as my favorite foods and toys around at home. I have a beloved teddy bear that lives with me. Apart from that, the badminton court near my house is an exciting place for me because thats where I can meet and play with my friends. But some things make me sad, especially that there are many children out there who are suffering. The Palestinian flag in my artwork symbolises my hope for a Palestine free from occupation, so that children there could return to playing joyfully!
