ARTJOG 2026 akan diselenggarakan pada 19 Juni hingga 30 Agustus 2026 di Jogja National Museum, Yogyakarta. Menuju pelaksanaannya, ARTJOG menggelar acara Sosialisasi Tema sekaligus memperkenalkan Farah Wardani sebagai kurator tamu untuk tiga tahun ke depan. Sosialisasi tema ini berlangsung pada Senin, 10 November 2025 di Pendopo Ajiyasa, JNM, Yogyakarta dengan dihadiri para seniman, rekan media, khalayak umum, dan berbagai pihak yang mendukung pelaksanaan ARTJOG.

Sebagai pijakan menuju ekosistem seni yang lebih terbuka dan inklusif, ARTJOG merancang program Love🤟ARTJOG yang menyertai pelaksanaannya. Hal ini adalah komitmen ARTJOG dalam menghadirkan sebuah festival seni yang bertumpu pada semangat kebersamaan dan kesetaraan. ARTJOG Kids was established in 2022 to achieve the ideals of togetherness and equality, while offering a unique and fresh approach from a children's perspective to build a new conversation. This program is not intended to produce artists, but rather to complement the role of parents as primary supporters in building and honing a strong foundation for children's growth and development.

To support the sustainability of the arts ecosystem as a whole, ARTJOG 2025 - Motif: Amalan also accommodates film screenings held on ARTJOG performance stage. ARTJOG screened two documentaries, Jagad'e Raminten (Raminten Universe), directed by Nia Dinata, and Bisikan Terumbu, directed by Arfan Sabran. Both films depict important figures in the world of arts and culture, highlighting the forms of 'amalan' (practice) these figures carry through their practices and way of life.

On Friday, 20 June 2025, ARTJOG 2025 - Motif: Ramalan is officially opened. Summarizing the series of Motif themes, ARTJOG will be held until 31 Augus 2025 at Jogja National Museum, Yogyakarta. The event began with a preview of the exhibition for invited guests and media partners, then continued with the opening ceremony in the afternoon which was attended by artists and art lovers, cultural figures, art communities, central and regional government officials, and all supporters from various sectors.

ARTJOG 2025 Motif: Amalan aims to reconfigure the conventional perspective on art, which judges art solely on its aesthetic value, by evaluating the contributions of artistic practice towider society.
The Road to ARTJOG 2025 program - ARAK-ARAK: Midnight Haze and The Drifting Flocks, which took place in Surabaya between April 19 to May 3, 2025, received a warm welcome from the citizens of Surabaya and surrounding cities. With around 5,000 visitors over two weeks, the program successfully attracted attention and presented a new experience of enjoying art exhibitions in public spaces.

Approaching it’s commencement in June at the Jogja National Museum, Yogyakarta, this year ARTJOG would like to first greet the community through the Road to ARTJOG 2025 program by collaborating with Jompet Kuswidananto, a Yogyakarta-based artist, and Ayos Purwoaji, a writer and curator from Surabaya. With last year’s edition in Jakarta, ARTJOG has now come to Surabaya, specifically at Pasar Tunjangan, with an exhibition titled Arak-Arak: Midnight Haze and The Drifting Flocks.

Yogyakarta, 2024 – ARTJOG 2024 is excited to announce our latest merchandise project, created in collaboration between our commission artist Agus Suwage & Titarubi and ONXIDEA Studio, a cuttingedge design studio based in Jakarta. ONXIDEA Studio is a creative hub known for its young, rebellious designers with multidisciplinary flair, leading the charge as creative director for this year’s exclusive merchandise series. This merchandise project also involves three other creative forces specializing in different aspects: SWEDA.co, KICKYOURBUTT Project, and BLASU Studio.

ARTJOG has been presenting ARTJOG Kids program since 2022 to realize its mission of inclusivity, by providing an opportunity for children and teenagers aged 6-15 years to submit their works in the selection process. This year, ARTJOG Kids presents 71 titlse of works from 36 participants who passed the curation.

Acara diawali dengan pratinjau khusus untuk tamu undangan dan rekan media di siang hari, lalu dilanjutkan dengan acara pembukaan pada sore harinya yang juga dihadiri oleh pejabat pemerintah pusat dan daerah, seniman partisipan, dan segenap pendukung dari berbagai sektor.

Festival seni kontemporer ARTJOG akan diselenggarakan pada 28 Juni - 1 September 2024 di Jogja National Museum, Yogyakarta dengan mengusung tema Motif: Ramalan, sebuah tema yang berangkat untuk membedah batasan waktu, ruang, serta hubungan keduanya dalam memahami sebuah peristiwa. Menampilkan karya-karya 48 seniman dewasa individu maupun kelompok dari dalam dan luar negeri (30 seniman undangan dan 18 seniman panggilan terbuka), serta 36 seniman anak dan remaja yang lolos seleksi. Sebagai kelanjutan seri Motif pada tahun sebelumnya, tema Motif: Ramalan ini dirancang oleh tim kurator ARTJOG dan kurator tamu Hendro Wiyanto (penulis dan kurator asal Jakarta), untuk mengajak seniman menelusuri sejarah masa lalu dan kemungkinan peristiwa masa depan. Secara khusus ARTJOG mengundang Agus Suwage dan Titarubi sebagai seniman komisi untuk merespon dan menerjemahkan tema yang diangkat, dan ditampilkan pada fasad ARTJOG.

Sebagai salah satu helatan seni rupa kontemporer berskala besar di Indonesia, kehadiran ARTJOG setiap tahunnya tentu dinanti oleh banyak kalangan—tidak hanya para pegiat seni tapi juga publik dalam lingkup lokal maupun internasional. Pertama kali lahir dengan label Jogja Art Fair atau JAF pada 2008 dan berganti menjadi ARTJOG pada 2010, perhelatan ini konsisten berevolusi dari segi gagasan dan bentuk hingga saat ini.

Setelah dibuka resmi pada 30 Juni lalu, ARTJOG 2023 Motif: Lamaran telah resmi diakhiri pada hari Minggu, 27 Agustus 2023. Acara penutupan ARTJOG 2023 diawali oleh sambutan Heri Pemad selaku Direktur ARTJOG, orasi budaya oleh Goenawan Mohamad, dilanjutkan oleh pidato penutupan oleh Dr. Suwarno Wisetrotomo. Memeriahkan rangkaian acara penutupan, panggung ARTJOG dimeriahkan oleh penampilan spesial dari Prince Husein, Kunto Aji, dan The Mayasona.

ARTJOG 2023 resmi dibuka pada tanggal 30 Juni 2023 dan akan berakhir dalam dua hari lagi pada 27 Agustus 2023. Seluruh program telah dilaksanakan dimulai dengan penampilan Teater Garasi di panggung Main Performance performa•ARTJOG pada 2-3 Juli 2023 dan dilanjutkan dengan mata program yang lain seperti Special Performance oleh Saron Groove, Olski, dan Megatruh Soundsystem dan Explanatory oleh empat seniman pertunjukan yaitu Arief Wicaksono, Deni Septyanugroho, Studio Klampisan, dan Densiel Lebang. Program-program lain seperti Exhibition Tour dan Meet the Artist juga telah berlangsung dan telah diakhiri dengan sesi terakhir Meet the Artist bersama Anusapati dan Butet Kartaredjasa pada hari Kamis, 24 Agustus 2023.

ARTJOG 2023 enters its second month. After officially opened on 30 June 2023, public still can feel the excitement from the opening ARTJOG 2023 for the next few days through a performance entitled "Waktu Batu. Rumah yang Terbakar." by Garasi Performance Institute/Teater Garasi. Teater Garasi itself is an interdisciplinary artist collective based in Yogyakarta. Founded in 1993, they see performing arts to process and produce knowledge and get involved dialectically with the ever-changing environment and world.

ARTJOG as we know it, has an important role as a means of popular cultural education as well as a space for cultural diplomacy. Apart from that, ARTJOG is also a catalyst in developing aspects of art-based tourism. ARTJOG has also contributed to the increasing Yogyakartas economy both in terms of the number and the length of stay of visitors in hotels as well as increasing the visitor spending during the implementation of ARTJOG. ARTJOG has succeeded in attracting a quality segment of tourists, creating relationships that encourage repeat visits, and generating positive publicity about the unique and complete destinations in Yogyakarta.

ARTJOG 2023 will be held on 30 June – 27 August 2023 at the Jogja National Museum in Yogyakarta and co-curated by curator and writer Hendro Wiyanto (based in Jakarta) and established artist Nadiah Bamadhaj (born in Malaysia and based in Yogyakarta). ARTJOG 2023 will house one commission artist, a wide selection of invited artists, an open call for young artists under 35 years old, and an open call for children from the ages of six to fifteen years old. In addition, ARTJOG 2023 will hold programming events, including curatorial tours, meet featured artists, stage performances, book launches, workshops, and events dedicated to children.
