Aurora Arazzi was born in Padang in 1997, Sumatra. She studied at the Department of Graphic Arts, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung.
Her installation work contains replicas of everyday objects made of white paper. Objects group and form clusters, such as ceramic tile and electrical equipment. Aurora uses paper as a creative medium, a material that she is very familiar with as a graphic artist. Paper is a simple material, easy to obtain, light and malleable. The white color and the sensitive nature of the paper material obscure the object, its appearance or the original motif itself, presenting a double illusion between what is real and what is not, toying with the perception of those who see it. This work is a site-specific installation made by considering the size and condition of the existing space and the objects that are commonly found in it.
