David Bakti, was born in 1998 in Subang (West Java). He is a young artist, a newcomer who is currently studying at the Institute of Indonesian Arts and Culture, Bandung. David composes a provocative object masterpiece in a form of book. This work was inspired by a short story by Danarto, a well-known Indonesian avant-garde writer and visual artist, entitled ABRAKADABRA (1974). This unique short story was published in Danarto's short story collection, "Godlob" (1974).

ABRAKADABRA itself is the author's attempt to enter the realm of the absurd, the world of the mortal life and the amazing world after death. The author attempts to present a report on what he can visually see while borrowing the lives of the characters in Shakespeare's masterpiece, Hamlet. Bakti's work functions as a direct response to this miraculous fiction. He tries to understand contradictory realities as the essence of ABRAKADABRA and exerts his poetic energy which is intertwined between memory and forgetfulness.

In his notes he wrote, "text as form, form as text, or text as text". Elements such as dot, line, plane and shape are used to create visual poetry about memory and what is missing from it.
