Glenys Cailyn Bachumaira was born in 2014 in Surabaya (East Java).

This works refers to one of Indonesia's cultural treasures, namely batik and maritime culture. Indonesia is a country rich with the beauty of its sea. There are many diverse and beautiful underwater ecosystems as well as various kinds of marine life ranging from fish and coral reef, I poured it into a painting like the coastal batik motif, so that it can also be enjoyed by fashion lovers.

With this work I want to be one of the initiators of a new contemporary batik theme. Hopefully it can become a trend in the future.
