REcycle-EXPerience

As the name of this collective duo suggests, REEXP chooses to experiment and play in fine art by using everyday found objects. Their focus and restriction is to non-organic household waste that is easily found in every modern home. Non-organic solid waste consists largely of waste generated by the consumption of industrial products. Industrial waste made of plastic, glass, and aluminum to electronic products has a big impact if not sorted and managed properly. REEXP uses pop art and toy aesthetics to create something new from this wave of household waste. Playful design, use of color and play of light that is fun, especially for children, are the visual language they use.

Evan and Attina are ARTJOG 2025's special commissioned artists for the ARTJOG KIDS program. REEXP specifically created an interactive installation work for children in the exhibition space. Presenting a 'toy' in the form of a 'big' little ant that lives with various other living creatures in its daily life can foster sensitivity to the meaning of growth and balance in our experience of living together. In addition, a large installation work assembled from a 'collection' of used toys brought by children visiting the exhibition will also be presented. The experience in this exhibition space will encourage a spirit of togetherness and deeper care in the future.
