Young Artist Award

Through the Young Artist Award (YAA), ARTJOG opens access and opportunity for the best participating young artist under the age of 35 to be the recipient of award and appreciation for their work. The program is an effort to explore the potential and insight of young artists, as well as to expand their network and career trajectory in art.

This year, the YAA program is supported by the Department of Culture (Kundha Kabudayan) of The Special Region of Yogyakarta. Three out of the 16 young artists participating in ARTJOG 2025 will be selected by a jury consisting of artist Eko Nugroho and ARTJOG’s curatorial team. The 2025 Young Artist Awards winners are with her installation The Thirteen Offerings, S. Urubingwaru with his two works The World Farewell Parade and Nikola Tesla and the Lost Dialogues of the Equatorial Scientist, and Veronica Liana with her work Rupa Tan Matra
