ARS LONGA TRILOGIA

As an initiative born to encourage and expend the spirit of togetherness and equality designed alongside the Center for Differently-Abled Services (PLD),Love🤟ARTJOG is here with the aim of realizing the involvement of all parties in the implementation of the festival. This encouragement is not limited only to services and facilities, but also through space and opportunities for differently abled artists to develop artistic practices and discourses more deeply.

In collaboration with Open Arms, an inclusivity program from Selasar Sunarya Art Space, ARTJOG initiated mini residencies that invited differently abled art practitioners to network and exchange knowledge on discourses of art in a series of artists’ studios. In addition to art residencies, Love🤟ARTJOG also involves young people through peer mentoring for the differently abled throughout the implementation of ARTJOG 2025. In order to create knowledge production by, of, and for all, participants will share the results of their residencies through a public discussion at the end of the agenda.

Artcare is a social movement initiated by Soboman 219 from Yogyakarta and a forum for caring for others. As a community that participates in social activities, Artcare first moved when the earthquake hit Yogyakarta in 2006.

Since 2020, Artcare Indonesia, organized in collaboration with ARTJOG, has presented work packages containing small two-dimensional works donated by artists for sale. The funds are then donated to those in need, both artists and the larger society. Artcare has engaged almost 300 artists in donating their work. The grants have been given to 50 art and cultural communities in Yogyakarta and other cities such as Tulungagung, Malang, Bandung, Gianyar, Denpasar, and Lombok.

This new platform offers a curated gallery presentation format that aims to open networks between galleries, art collectives, and institutes, while offering a dynamic meeting space between artists, academics, curators, collectors, and community activists.

Working together with UGM Innovation and Creativity Hub (GIK), Chapter Jogja presents 7 galleries and art communities who represent artists from various regions of Indonesia. More than just an art fair, this platform is a space to create artistic collaborations and new dialogues in the discourse on the art market’s development.
